Zermatt
One of Europe’s most popular ski resorts in stunning snow
filled Switzerland; Zermatt is a brilliant choice for skiers seeking a
challenge. There are plenty of off piste to explore, the very best of which is
only known by a select number of people. Ask around and you will discover some
thrill seeking runs but the best known is the Trifti which is one of Europe’s
longest and most challenging mogul slopes. Get an adrenaline rush all year
round as this is Europe’s highest tree line on the largest glacier on the continent.
St Anton
In the top 10 ski resorts of the World and ranking high in
the top 5 ski resorts of the Alps St Anton will not disappoint. One of the
snowiest areas in Austria, St Anton is the perfect place for advanced skiers to
test their skills with 340km of pistes and 180km of off piste on the scenic
valley runs and most importantly 55sq km of challenging off piste terrain. The fantastic
Arlberg lift pass also gives visitors access to the exclusive resorts of Lech,
Zurs, Stuben and St.Christoph.
Chamonix
The original’s sometimes be the best. Chamonix is one of
Europe’s oldest and understandably most popular ski resorts as it is filled
with culture, history and tradition. Proven to be a resort for the advanced, even
back in the day, Chamonix was where the first Winter Olympics was held in 1924.
Mount Blanc and Les Grand- Monents are some of the one of
the most beautiful sights in the ski world but they are also notoriously challenging.
With only 163km of pistes this resort is small and mighty, take a day to go on the
Vallee Blanche tour to experience incredible views and ask the locals about the
quieter, off piste thrill rides.
